Two of the great loves in my life are cycling and photography so this competition is right up my street.
“Open the 3rd international photography competition entitled “24 Snapshots of Bikes”. The contest, open to professionals and amateurs, plans to select a series of photographic works, invoking the extraordinary connection that links mankind to the bicycle.
Participation is open and free. The initiative is promoted by the Italian Cultural Association, Aeneis 2000, with partnership of the Town Council of San Vito dei Normanni, Puglia Region and Academy of Fine Arts of Lecce (Italy).
Each contestant may enter at most two photographs in colour or black and white, by and not later than midday (Italian time) on Friday 24th February 2014.
Electronic files may be submitted by email to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org or in the case of CD Rom or DVD, they may be sent by ordinary post to: Comune di San Vito dei Normanni (Ufficio Cultura), Piazza Carducci 1, 72019 San Vito dei Normanni, Brindisi (Italy). In both cases it is necessary to mark the entry: “Concorso Fotografico 24 Scatti Bike”. The format of the electronic file must be 200 dpi, of dimensions 50×70, or the original photograph size of the camera used.
The 24 winning photos will be displayed on 11th May 2014 at the ex-Cloister of the Dominicans of San Vito dei Normanni on the occasion of the international programme of events named “Full Bike Day: The Bicycle in all Artistic Forms” and subsequently in other National and International locations.”
I’m going to enter, how about you?
