cycle touring

This summer I’m planning on doing a whole load of bike camping, I did a bit last year which was great (sort of) but I learned pretty quick that even with lightweight camping gear it really needs to be attached to your bike well.

When Blackburn contacted me to see if I’d like to try out some of their new products I jumped at the chance, I’ve had a couple of their pumps for years and love them.

rear lockable bicycle rack

The Blackburn Interlock Rear Rack is super cool, it lets you lock your pannier bags to your bike which’ll reduce your stress levels when you’re out shopping or when you leave you bike outside a pub during touring. I was surprised by how lightweight it was considering all the extra parts when it arrived, can’t wait to try it out!

The Blackburn Central Front Light is a beast, it blasts out a whopping 500 lumens! But it doesn’t end there, this puppy has a built in ambient light sensor and can adjust its output automatically as the sun comes up or goes down. It also features great side visibility which is something that is lacking from a hell of a lot of lights. As soon as it gets dark I’m hitting the road!
